Training

Are you a beginning triathlete?  Do you want to do your first triathlon?  We will be offering a free, pre-tri clinics preparing you for the Rose City Triathlon. These will be on Saturday, August 8, 2009 and Saturday, August 29, 2009. 

The clinics start at 8:00 AM  at Lake Tyler West where we will do each portion of the event with time in between to explain successful transitions.  This training is geared for beginners but seasoned triathletes are welcome to attend to get a feel for the actual RCT course.    These clinics will be conducted by John Cobb, internationally known bike fitting expert.  We will have kayaks available to use with the swim (for your comfort and security).   If you plan to attend, please click the link below, print and sign the waver, and bring it with you to the clinic(s):

We also suggest joining the Beginner Triathlete website (it's free), and download a beginning training plan.  Also feel free to request to join the East Texas Triathletes Forum if you have specific questions--and remember that no question is too silly!
